Our Most Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, you can drive the golf cart to the beach and park it in a designated parking spot with a yellow bumper. However, the golf cart cannot be driven directly on the beach itself. Please use Yacht Drive for getting around the island.
To drive a golf cart on Oak Island, the cart is to ONLY be operated on roads with a speed limit of 35 mph or less. The recommended route is Yacht Drive, where the speed limit is consistently under 35 mph. Side roads may also be used to access businesses along Oak Island Drive.
Golf Carts are not permitted on bridges entering/ exiting Oak Island.
To rent our cart, you’ll need a valid driver’s license and a credit card for payment and security. Only those above the age of 21 are able to drive our cart. Additionally, you must be a renting guest with 5MM Vacations to be eligible to rent a cart.
Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for guests who wish to check out early or for weather-related interruptions during your trip.
